About the film: It's alright really. The idea's quite creative, but it does get a bit dry after 10 minutes. The plot doesn't really go anywhere, or make much sense, and the concept alone isn't enough to hold it up. I agree with the opinions that the logos aren't used particularly creatively in some instances.

This is what I do have a problem with: "Elsa Chevallier from Autour de Minuit, she just confirmed that this video should not and MUST NOT be shared online for 2 main reasons, first of all it was a copyrighted piece of art made by H5 on their free time and took them a very long time and a lot of hours of hard work to make it, 6 years have been necessary to make that film, but more than that as this video have been made with more than 2,500 logos of the world top brands and that they never asked the right to use them (which was humanly impossible to do it anyway IMO) and more than that, the image of those brands is severly « heckled » so they could be sued by all of them ending in a certain death for that company."

Firstly, if it was made in 6 years in free time, it can only be assumed that this was a project of passion ("art") and not a commercial venture. If this is the case, why were web users who enjoyed the film hassled about posting it on the internet? If the film really claims to contain a political/social message, surely getting the message out there is more important than making money? If this film is fighting all this "excess consumerism", why are they trying so desperately to make a buck? I agree that the artists should be rewarded for their hard work, but at the expense of fans? Okay they're not being sued, but targeting the online community for enjoying what you call "art" and sharing it is a bad move.

Secondly, the film-makers MUST have been aware of fair-use policies, which state that copyrighted material can be used for parody, which this qualifies for (obviously, having won oscars and all that). Regardless of whether you post something on the internet or not, these pointless copyright laws exist. They don't just suddenly appear because you've put it on the internet.

Merci John, ma position aurait certainement été moins tranchée pour un film commercial en partie financé par du placement product + des produits dérivés, mais là c'est tout autre... ce type de réalisation relève réellement de l'oeuvre d'art.
